Big Night Out

Day One

March 11, 2011 @ Singapore Indoor Stadium

Stone Temple PilotsStone Temple Pilots will headline on Day One of Big Night Out 2011.

Often abbreviated to STP, this American rock band from San Diego, California consists of Scott Weiland (lead vocals), brothers Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion).

The band's early hard rock, grunge-reminiscent style of music found them immediate success in 1992 with the release of their debut album Core. Further releases from the band have shown a variety of influences, and as such the band is considered to transcend the genre barrier.

Stone Temple Pilots reunited in April 2008 with a successful 71-date tour and the band's eponymous sixth studio album was released on May 25, 2010

Sugar Sammy

Sugar SammyComedy’s New Rock Star SUGAR SAMMY is set to host BIG NIGHT OUT Singapore 2011!

The Hollywood Reporter just named him one of the top 10 rising comedy talents from around the world, and Askmen.com dubbed him "Comedy's New Rock Star".

Both are apt titles, considering that Sugar Sammy is touring the globe like a rock star, setting attendance records around the world for sold-out shows in four languages - English, French, Punjabi and Hindi. International critics, from Canada to Dubai, are unanimous in their praise of his uproariously funny material, his laconic delivery and his universal insight on multicultural society.

Before he was opening for Dave Chappelle and working with the likes of George Lopez and Damon Wayans, the secret to his multi-national success was discovered at the Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival, where he was the first ever comedian to perform in both English, French and Hindi shows. He's appeared at the festival for the past six years in a row, and has added other international festivals to his annual lineup, including the Sydney Comedy Festival, the Cape Town Comedy Festival, and the Johannesburg Comedy Festival.

Sammy continues to tour the globe and prove that laughter is indeed universal. He's performed in the USA, UK, Australia, South Africa, India, Ireland, Holland, Dubai, Germany, Hong Kong, Thailand, The Philippines, and the Caribbean. He also toured across Canada promoting his CD, "Down with the Brown", and was forced to ad shows in every city, due to overwhelming demand.
